The title 'Hello Premistara!' is pulling curious viewers to the theatre in droves. And of course, there is the name Puri Jagannath tagged to the movie. But this is not going to last long. The word is soon going to be out that 'Hello Premistara' is a damp squib. Especially the creative title is a big let down. The title promises a lot and delivers nothing.

The review is a little harsh on the makers of the movie, but trash cannot be passed on as creative work. It would be akin to condoning a crime.

The boy-loves-the girl is a theme that has been done 'n' number of times. The girl working as an anchor was the recent craze, and this also has become passé. The boy having a jealous and somewhat deranged brother/half-brother is also old and oft repeated.

Add to the above, the half-brother tries to marry the heroine: that's the story of HP.

If the story is nothing new, the director insults the audience further by lifting a scene shamelessly from the English movie 'V for Vendetta'. The humorous scenes are so poor in taste that you feel like crying. It's sad that some directors cannot be creative beyond a certain point. It's disgusting to see a person with short term amnesia and a hearing impaired person being the butt of the jokes.

That's not to say that the movie is devoid of any good factor. Sheela, the heroine is one good factor. The exchanges of witty and smart dialogs in the first half are interesting.

But then that's about it. The banal story and a creatively deficient direction make 'Hello Premistara' a forgettable experience. It simply is not in Puri's class. We look forward to something better in the near future. Give us something on the level of 'Chak De', 'Gandhi – My Father', or 'Raghavan'. We are sure you can do it.
