Love in Nepal Hindi Movie
Just when we thought we were getting quite close to writing off the formula, we get to see Love in Nepal , which has no substance and only pretensions of style.
The characters go by the abbreviated, westernised names of Abby, Maxi, Sandy, Julie and Tony. But the thing that needed abbreviation here was the script, which meanders aimlessly all the way to Nepal.
Mini-wearing Maxi (Saini) meets mad ad guy Abby in the ad agency called Madness, which could have defined the film better.
They begin by bickering. After song number one, he begins to like her. They go to Nepal for an ad shoot. After song two, she also starts liking him.
After song three, there's a murder, which provides the proverbial twist in the tale, if there ever was one. To solve the case, the hero and heroine take off to a hippie joint where they dance to song number four.
Director Mukherjee has done better before, but only with Ram Gopal Varma films ( Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, Road ). Given the third rate screenplay and a B-grade cast, the best he could have done is to decline a venture like this.
Saini's main job is to mouth "You are disgusting" and try making PVC pants look hip. Nigam shows innovative ways of facial contortions in the name of acting.
Only problem is, you are the one stuck with the expression by the end of the film.
