Collector has been directed by Anil C Menon who ahd earlier directed films like 'Rashtram' and 'Ben Johnson'.
The film has Suresh Gopi playing the title role. Suresh plays Avinash Verma, the District Collector, who takes office in Cochin. Verma realises that Cochin has changed, and that a massive reworking is needed to reestablish order in the state.
Rajeev, Mohini, Baburaj, Kaviyur Ponnamma, Nedumudi Venu, Krishnakumar and several others do supprting roles.
The film is a socio political thriller that takes a look at the contemporary social scene in the state.
The director and crew assure us that its a thriller that would keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. Collector would be a July 2011 release.
