Chikkamagaloora Chikka Mallige directed by writer cum director Channagangappa appeals to the audience with fantastic visuals and brilliant acting performances by Veteran artists like C.R.Simha.

Channagangappa has introduced some fresh talents in the acting department like Radhika Gandhi, younger sister of actress Pooja Gandhi and Shravanth, the popular U2 TV Anchor in the main roles.

To be fair to Channagangappa he has certainly excelled in his writing abilities and has tried to narrate the film without any confusions. And the fresh talents he has selected for the lead roles in the film have stood up to the trust of the director. Teen aged Radhika Gandhi looks glamorous and this cute teenager will certainly go places. U2 Anchor Shravan delivers a lively performance. And the Veteran artists have also performed exceedingly well to add strength to the film.

Channagangappa who has made a name for his writing qualities in three of his previous films has failed to take a reasonably believable story. He has based the story on Robindranath Tagore's short story which relates to the times when Kings and Sawants had existed. This story does not relate to any contemporary environs that exist today and certainly it would be difficult to connect to the film. However the film has some strong points like good photography and an engaging narration. The film fails to get a convincing look mainly because of the age old story which does not relate to things happening around today.

The story revolves around a King who has lost his reigns of Power and still carry illusions of being a ruler. Vasundhara is his grand daughter who has been looked after solely by the King. Despite his quixotic behaviour King is very much liked by many people who have been helped by him. King has a team of advisers who include an advocate who is fighting his case and a big businessman.

Shravanth, the son of the businessman finds the King to be crazy and has been making fun of him. Shravanth and Vasundhara are always in logger heads, but become closer enough to become lovers who want to get married to each other. But later it comes to light that Vasundhara was engaged to her relative when she was a child. Finally all things end perfectly in this film which is made with a package of commercial elements.

Veteran artists C.R.Simha, Bharath Bhagavathar, Sharath Lohithashwa, Vinya Prakash and Avinash shine in their respective roles, while youngsters look convincing. Radhika Gandhi looks cute in the song sequences. Cameraman J.G.Krishna is the real hero of this film and the fantastic visuals in the film bears testimony to his extra ordinary work.

K.Kalyan has written very good lyrics of the film, but the tunes of the songs look almost similar in all the songs.

Chikkamagaloora Chikka Mallige is a neat entertainer.
