An utter bore. Totally insufferable. That's what Bullet is. The Suresh Gopi-starrer, directed by Nizsar, falls flat on many counts, but especially so with regard to the script and the direction.

Bullet begins with the depiction of how music composers Gangaprasad and Yamunaprasad, a very successful duo, kill Mahadevan Thampy, their mentor and guru just because the latter posed a threat to them. And from there we move on to a television reality show. Gangaprasad and Yamunaprasad are judges of this very popular reality show. They misbehave with the girls who come to participate in the show, especially Gayathry and Gouri, and ask for sexual favours in return for ensuring victory in the competition.

It's at this juncture that Parasurama Bhattathiri, called by all as 'Pattery', makes his entry. The man, robed like a sanyasi, behaves rather mysteriously, but sets out to tackle Gangaprasad and Yamunaprasad. Things take a twist when suddenly Gangaprasad goes missing.

Circle Inspector Wahid Abdul Rahman Haji comes in to investigate the sudden disappearance of the music composer. He clashes with Pattery in the initial stage of the investigation itself. Very soon the chopped arm of Gangaprasad is found and it becomes evident that he has been murdered.

Wahid arrests Pattery on the basis of suspicion, but the latter manages to get himself freed. Pattery then declares that he too will be on the trail of the real murderer and would find him before Wahid can. The rest of the story is unfurled in the second half of the film.

The subject could have made for a good and slick thriller, as is expected of a Suresh Gopi film. But a poorly written script and utterly bad packaging has made the film turn out to be an utter bore. The script has too many loose ends. And the director seems to be totally out of control as far as the subject is concerned. The comic sequences don't impress us at all, and there are some totally unwanted songs, distastefully picturised. The suspense element is not worked out properly. And the climax is far from gripping.

Suresh Gopi is repeating himself in a poorly etched out character, that of Pattery. Kalabhavan Mani as Wahid Abdul Rahman Haji is his usual self and neither impresses us nor disappoints us. The rest of the cast are all unimpressive on the whole. There's nothing to mention about the technical aspects, the songs or the music. Sheer wastage of time and money - that's what Bullet is, for the viewer as well as for the makers.
