Sultan Malayalam Movie

Sriprakash, who had earlier directed Gamanam (1994) and Naalaam Kettile Nalla Thampimaar (1996), now makes a comeback with Sultan, a campus-based film with Nivedhyam fame Vinu Mohan in the lead. The film takes us into the life of Sivan, who is a medical college student and who is known in the campus as 'Sultan' simply because he is considered by all as the 'Sultan of Romance'. He and his four close friends, who have been friends since their schooldays, form a gang that is very popular all through the campus.

Sivan is in love with Nishitha, who is also a student in the very same college. In fact their love has been accepted by their families and they have been engaged to marry after the completion of their studies. Sivan and Nishitha share a very strange kind of relationship. If they love each other passionately, they fight with each other frequently too. But things take a turn when Sivan's pet-name Sultan puts him in some totally unexpected situations.

While Vinu Mohan does the title role, it's Varadha who, though a Malayalee, makes her entry into Malayalam Cinema from Kollywood. Sultan is produced under the banner of Abhirama Krishna Movie Makers and is all ready for release, which in all likelihood will happen this month itself.
