Luv U Soniyo Hindi Movie
There's been a really diverse take on love this week, right from the Romeo & Juliet type love at first sight in Issaq to the infatuation types in Poonam Pandey's Nasha to the teeny bopper romance Luv U Soniyo. While the other two really don't have much to offer, we tell you if the latter is any different or not.
Luv U Soniyo is a story about Mark Braganza (Tanuj Garg) and Soniyo (Neha Hinge), who since their childhood have been brought together by fate, time after time, only to be drawn apart each time. While the belong to two different worlds, they still maintain a keen fondness for each other without realising that it indeed is nothing but love. Realisation dawns on the two much later in their lives by which time fate has played its evil card as Soniyo gets engaged to an army officer. Whether destiny brings the two lovers back together or not is what follows through the rest of the plot.
Yesteryear actress and now character actor Rati Agnihotri's son Tanuj Garg makes his Bollywood dream debut with this teeny-bopper of a romance. Sadly for him the film doesn't hold any promise to give him that big break.
Directed by Joe Rajan, Luv U Soniyo is not quite the trashiest of the lot this week however, it still fails to please you as an audience. The film is way too sugary for acceptance and the conflicts way too cliched. Both debutants fail to bring out that romance which would've added some connect to this film. The filmmaker's way of handling emotions is quite amateurish and most of the run time is spent on the realisation of the two lead stars about their love itself.
Like a necessary ingredient of any light-hearted romantic fare, this film too takes a shot at some humour but unfortunately that card falls completely flat for none of the gags make you smile even leave alone laugh.
On the acting front both newcomers Tanuj Garg and Neha Hinge play their individual parts well and appear to be promising. You can't blame them really for the lack of chemistry for it's the filmmaker's laxity which mires their performance.
To sum it up, Luv U Soniyo has no freshness to offer and follows a done to death path. An easy miss.
