Madonna inspires Katy Perry's 3D movie

Los Angeles, April 9 (IANS) Singer Katy Perry says pop queen Madonna has inspired her "Part of Me" 3-D concert movie.

Perry invited a camera crew to film her California Dreams Tour and the documentary which will feature live footage of the gig and even touch on her personal issues, including her failed marriage to Russell Brand, reports contactmusic.com.

The singer admits plans for the forthcoming documentary were inspired by Madonna and her 1991 film "Madonna: Truth or Dare".

"Madonna is everything to me, and that movie is amazing, because it caught her at a time when she was a bit more vulnerable. I wanted to do that too, to capture a snapshot of who I am now so that I can remind myself what I've lost if I ever do become totally jaded," she told teenvogue.com.
