This decision was reached at, after a meeting between Thilakan, Sohan Roy and representatives of the MACTA Federation. Thilakan had demanded for a compensation for being thrown out of the film.

Thilakan had earlier in the day led a march along with members of the MACTA Federation to the shooting location. The police had stopped them and this had even led to an argument between the protesters and the police.
