Working in multiple languages increases fan base: Aadi Pudipeddi

Chennai, May 13 (IANS) If you want to have a large fan base then it's very important to diversify to other languages, feels Telugu actor Aadi Pudipeddi, who wants to make his presence felt in other languages soon.

"Doing films in multiple languages certainly helps you increase fan base. But what is most important is that you need to wait for the right time to diversify because a bad film in any language will only attract criticism. I want to diversify too, but I'm waiting for the right moment," Aadi told IANS.

"Good films in multiple languages give mileage for an actor in the industry. But for good films to happen, you need to wait for good scripts to come your way," he said.

Besides Telugu, Aadi can fluently speak Tamil and Kannada.

"My dad has done so many films in Kannada and, therefore, I have been getting lots of offers. But I haven't taken up any because I don't think it's time yet for me to shift to other languages. The same is the case with Tamil too. I will gradually shift base to other languages as well," he added.

Aadi's father Sai Kumar Pudipeddi is a popular actor in Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. He is best known for films such as "Police Story", "Antahpuram" and "Prasthanam".

With such a big acting background, why do you feel you're not ready yet?

"I think it's important to be accepted as an actor in one language before even venturing out to other languages. More importantly, I want to work in as many films in the language I'm most comfortable in, which is Telugu," he said.

Known for Telugu films such as "Prema Kavali" and "Lovely", Aadi's third film "Sukumarudu" released recently. Click the Movie button below for more info:
