Timothy David Minchin is an Australian comedian, actor, writer, musician, composer, lyricist and director. He was born in Northampton, England, to Australian parents, but raised in Perth, Western Australia.Minchin is best known for his musical comedy, including six CDs, five DVDs, and live comedy shows that he has performed internationally. He has appeared on television in Australia, Britain, and the United States. After growing up in Perth, he attended the University of Western Australia and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, before moving to Melbourne in 2002.
