Grand Masti Hindi Movie
If you read interviews of anyone involved with the film Grand Masti you'll find them stating how hypocritical our mass is that will love to read non-veg jokes on SMS but would easily reproach double meaning jokes on the big screen and how they are daring ones to push the envelop and make a riotous sex comedy. Well, let me tell you, it's all hogwash! Hypocritically so, with all tall claims of being a rib tickler, all that Grand Masti turns out to be is a series of SMS gags in visuals obnoxiously weaved together.
Amar (Riteish Deshmukh), Prem (Aftab Shivdasani) and Meet (Vivek Oberoi) were the cool dudes of college for whom A was never for Apple or B for Ball instead it was for Arses and Breasts and let me refrain from telling you what the C stands for. Their ambition was to pass with "F" but six years down their lives they turn out to be nothing but sex-starved men who are somehow accomodating their never ending "demands" with their wives' feeble "supply".
One day they get a call for a college reunion and how the three plan to get away from their wives and get laid to the first woman in sight in college only to get themselves tangled in a mess is what follows through the rest of the plot.
Grand Masti thrives heavily on strong visuals and gags which are cheap, vulgar and extremely crude. The camera work is cringeworthy where even the male parts aren't spared leave alone the female ones. Moreover, there isn't any innovation even at that. What you get to see is nothing but the same old SMS jokes of "Bra-Panties" or "Roze Mary Marlo" which you may have read years ago.
Having three lead characters, each gag gets repeated three times over till you get nauseous and want to do nothing but walk out. Almost every character is loud not just in their expressions but also in their decible levels. The movie is replete with ear-splitting songs and dialogues.
To sum it up, Grand Masti has absolutely no redeeming factor for one to go watch this film. If you are seeking voyeurism go watch a porn film, if you are seeking comedy go watch a comedy for Grand Masti is nothing to offer but crassness to the masses.
