Boy meets girl, boy and girl fall for each other, girl makes boy meet another girl. This is no Mills and Boons romance but is the romantic backdrop of director Rajib Biswas's Khoka 420. Going by the convention of creating successful commercial hits, Rajib once again moulds Khoka 420 in a different with details and necessary twists and turns.

Krish (Dev) is the spoilt son of an industrialist. He is in love with Megha (Nusrat) eventually a friend of Megha falls into problem, as her father Tapas Paul decides to marry her off. The man of Bhoomi's (Subhashree) father's choice is not a suitable man. Bhoomi and her grandfather (late Haradhan Bandopadhyay) work out a plan and make her father Brajeswar believe that she already is in love with a man. This is where our very own superhero Dev enters the life of Bhoomi as her make shift boyfriend. A series of events follow from here and our Khoka (Dev) begins to win everyone's heart. Whatever said and done, conventionally it is always the toughest to win over the bride's father and Dev too has his share of problems. At the end it is through Manmohan (Rajatava Dutta) and Brajeswar's friendship that Khoka gets accepted in the family. A big twist here is that while Brajeswar is ready to get her daughter married off to him, he is already in love with Megha-the daughter of Manmohan. Yes, our big heart hero now has two women to choose from. While both the woman are too impressed with him and can't let go of him.

The Dev-Subhasree pair has been utilized brilliantly by Rajib and he also does wonder with their natural chemistry. Apart from that the tricky storyline and brilliant camera along with the breathtaking locations makes Khoka 420 superbly entertaining. Packed with action, this film also has subtle romantic moments to its credit and of course a gamut of sensible actors. Rajatava Dutta is natural is splendid. Dev in his original, natural avatar is our own excellent Khoka. While the ladies and Tapas Paul adds essence to the film with their polished acting skills.

The music of the film was a success much before the release and has a strong real, rowdy appeal. Its better not to go into the intricate details of the music or the story anymore, as it is a right fit for the general mass, but maybe too some extent lacks extreme sophistication.

To summarize, Dev starrer Khoka 420 is a perfect family entertainment package filled with action, romance and drama the film is definitely a good watch.
