Mishwar Rahasya Bengali Movie
With the festivities in the air everyone is ready to let their hair down and pour into the spirits of festivities. Director Srijit Mukherji's Mishwar Rahashya luckily matched the festive timeline and released amidst Durga Puja. Mishwar Rahashya celebrates adventure and explores a historical mystery amidst the deserts of Egypt.
Mukherji has picked up the story of Mishwar Rahashya from Renowned writer Sunil Gangopadhyay's 'Kakababu and Santu' series. The contemporary backdrop and revisiting the adventure penned down by Ganguly, director Srijit Mukherji brings forth a remarkable sleuth adventure on screen.
Kakababu (Prosenjit Chatterjee) is the retired government official turned detective Raja Roy Chowdhury, and his teenage assistant and nephew, Santu sets out on a historic adventure by following a Hieroglyphic trail. From the beginning itself Mukherji sets the stage for adventure and explores the mystery through bits and pieces, by leaving us enough to sniff and analyze. The narrative begins by travelling back and forth in time and that creates the perfect setting for the sleuth adventure Kakababu. Mukherji sets the adventure on screen with a flavor of graphic novel. The sharp fights and the animated sequences steal the show and are wonderfully lovely.
An Egyptian preacher and ex political fighter, Mufti Mohammad leaves behind a series of Hieroglyphics. He has two rival groups of followers who are after the meaning of the message, as they believe it contains the directions to a treasure. The leader of one of the groups, Al Mamun, contacts Kakababu to help them out unravel the mystery. As Kakababu begins to explore he finds a different message within the pictorial message and thus he takes the mystery solving on his shoulders and sets out on a journey to Egypt. In Egypt Kakababu is abducted by Honey-alqadi, who is preparing for a war against the present ruiling leader. Through a series of challenges and hurdles Kakababu begins his quest.
Acting, camera and the brilliant mis-en-scene with the desert setting is just too perfect and sets the pace of the narrative and never for once will let you relax. The music and background score is bound to stick to you even after you step out of the theatres. Actors Prosenjit Chatterjee, Indraneil Sengupta and Rajit Kapoor are just brilliant.
Srijit Mukherji's Mishwar Rahashya is a treat for both the young and the adult filled with adventure, drama, suspense and humour Mishwar Rahashya is a must watch.
