Critics:
Yamaleela is a Classic and SV Krishna Reddy tried to use its sequel for his comeback. But the strengths of Yamaleela - Strong Comedy and Racy Screenplay are totally missed in Yamaleela-2 making it a lack lustre product. Give it a miss!

Just like in Yamaleela, Chitragupta (Brahmanandham) loses Bhavishyavani once again when he and Yama have descended to Manasa Sarovar. Lord Brahma orders them to be back to the Hell only after they find the book. They come to Earth in search of it and finds it with a young oncologist named Krish (Dr.KV.Satish). However Krish refuses to part with it since it has a shocking future in store for him. And then there is Stephens (Ashish Vidyarthi), owner of Stephens Pharmacueticals, who is after Krish for his formula which cures cancer and Leukemia. What happens further is the rest of the story.

Coming to the performances, the debutante KV Satish is still a long way to go as an actor. He must have got good training in acting to impress in his first outing. He has put in decent efforts in dances and emoting in emotional scenes. Dia Nicholas looked good in some angles but failed to impress as an actor in an already limited scope role. Mohan Babu as usually is exemplary in the role of Yama. It may be a cakewalk for him after that role in Yamadonga. Brahmanandham complimented him well in the role of Chitragupta. And the others, Rao Ramesh,Shayaji Shinde, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Tagubotu Ramesh have played their parts well. Sada and Nisha Kothari sizzled with their glamour in a special song.

SV Krishna Reddy's Yamaleela was a classic in terms of comedy and mother sentiment. In this sequel, Krishna Reddy has tried to use a little girl for the sentiment quotient. However the epic fail is the comedy section, Yamaleela genre is all about the comedy between Yama and Chitragupta, Yama and the hero but there is very little as such in the film. However the sentiment is worked out well. The major failure of Krishna Reddy is the slow pace of the film. He almost sucks your patience in revealing the plot. We find things interesting at the interval block but only to spill it further in the second half.

SV.Krishna Reddy had also taken care of the music and background score. Music is melodious and reminds one of Yamaleela songs and all the songs are well shot. Cinematography of Srikanth Naroju is good while Gautam Raju's editing could have been more crispier. Production values of Krishnvi Films are good.

Yamaleela is a Classic and SV Krishna Reddy tried to use its sequel for his comeback. But the strengths of Yamaleela - Strong Comedy and Racy Screenplay are totally missed in Yamaleela-2 making it a lack lustre product. Give it a miss!
