Budugu ends up as an average fare. A little more care to the script and adding more thrilling elements would have done wonders to the film. It will appeal to the family audience and masses will find it to sit through out the film.

Rakesh (Sreedhar Rao) and Pooja (Manchu Lakshmi) are both working professionals. Being extremely busy at work, they join their son, Bunny (Prem Babu) in a boarding school. However one fine day, Bunny runs away from the school and comes back to his parents. Despite their best efforts, they could not convince him to go back to the school. Also Bunny starts complaining about seeing ghosts to make things worse. The couple takes him to child psychologist Geeta Reddy (Indraja) for treatment. What happens next in the lives have to be seen on screen.

Prem Babu impresses with his performance on screen. Lakshmi Manchu is good as a dotting mother. Sreedhar Rao is okay in the supporting tole. Indraja is impressive as a doctor. Baby Dolly and others are adequate according to the script demand.

Dire

ctor Manmohan came up with a good point to which every parent these days could connect. The strong message within the film is also impressive. However he had faltered a bit in narrating the story perfectly. The slow pace is a major concern and things get further worse towards the end. Direction is okay.

Sai Karthik's back ground score is okay. Cinematography is good. Editing could have been crispier. Production values are good.

Finally, Budugu ends up as an average fare. A little more care to the script and adding more thrilling elements would have done wonders to the film. It will appeal to the family audience and masses will find it to sit through out the film.
