Kick-2 is half baked attempt with out Kick or Comfort. Even though Kick-3 is announced at the end, it does not make any sense now. Try it only if you have nothing to do this weekend.

Robinhood (Raviteja) enters the film as an NRI doctor in USA, He wants to build a super speciality hospital there which requires big money. So he decides to sell his ancestral property in India to make money for the hospital. He lands in India but he is hit by an accident. After that he meets Pandit Raviteja (Brahmanandham) and Chaitra (Rakul Preet Singh).

Needless to say, he falls for Chaitra instantly. When every thing is going well, Chaitra gets kidnapped leading him to a village, Villaspur. The village is haunted by mining baron, Suleman Singh Thakur (Ravi Kishan). Later Raviteja realizes that he was tricked by Chaitra to save the village. Rest of the story is how he helps them by eliminating Thakur.

Raviteja looks pale and thin in the movie what they say a new look but in fact, it is hard for the audience to digest the actor in that look. Rakul is super glamorous both as village belle and in modern look. Ravi Kishan is superb as a villain. Brahmi is good in parts.

Surender Reddy and Vakkantham Vamsi let down Kick-2 with their own hands. Vamsi's story resembles very close to that of Khaleja with Kick like characterization of the actor. Several comedy scenes are also poorly etched with forced and artificial comedy. Surender Reddy still seem to be in Race Gurram hangover. The screenplay is also very predictable with run time testing the patience.

Thaman had delivered an average album but the back ground score is very effective. The rerecording in fact elevated several scenes. Manoj Parmahamsa's cinematography is great. NTR Arts' Production Values are very rich.

Finally, Kick-2 is half baked attempt with out Kick or Comfort. Even though Kick-3 is announced at the end, it does not make any sense now. Try it only if you have nothing to do this weekend.
