Mariam Mukku Synopsis
‘Mariam Mukku’ the debut directorial venture of scenarist James Albert narrates the story of the fishermen community along the fictional coastal area of Mariam Mukku. Mariam Mukku is presented as a historically important place, as the people there believe themselves to be the descendants of Portuguese people. They use the typical fisher folk dialect in this film. Fahad plays the role of a fearless and daring fisherman named Felix. He lost his parents at a young age. Tamil actor Thyagarajan does the role of Marian Ashan, the adoptive father of Felix. Salomi (Sana Althaf), daughter of a white man from Portughese arrives with her father at Mariam Mukku with some hidden intentions. Salomi falls in love with Felix. The resulting incidents are plotted in ‘Mariam Mukku’. Samudrakkani, Nedumudi Venu, Aju Varghese, Sreenivasan, Tini Tom, Irshad, Saddique, Suja Menon, Seema G Nair, Devi Ajith, and Neena Kurup are the other main actors in this film. Vidyasagar composes music for the lyrics by Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma, Santhosh Varma, Rafeeq Ahmed, and Fr Siyon.
