‘Manikyam’ narrates the story of the agonizing moments of a woman who is caught up between her husband and lover. The movie is based on Jnanpith Award winner S K Pottekkattu’s novel “Prema Shiksha”.
Kunjumanikyam gets married at a young age. She hates her husband Krishnan due to some misgivings.
This leads her to be attached to another man. Later she understands the truth and feels guilty for betraying her husband. Then she realizes how loving her husband is.
‘Manikyam’ is directed by cameraman R J Prasad. New face Sreelaya does the role of Manikyam. Ajay Ghosh, who is the producer of this movie, does the role of Krishnan, Manikyam’s husband.
Sahil Sunil does the male lead as the lover of Manikyam. Janardhanan, Indrans, and Sindhu Jacob also include the cast of the movie.
The script and dialogues are written by the director himself. Manoj Narayanan is the cinematographer.
