Attack Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2016 | UA | Action, Thriller
Critics:
Finally, Attack is another forgettable outing for Manchu Manoj, Ram Gopal Varma and their fans. It is a testimony of how a great director once, sank to the level of killing a film with his own attitude problem.

A Powerful businessman, Guru Raj (Prakash Raj) gets killed by some one. His elder son, Kali (Jagapathi Babu) sets out to avenge his father's murder but also gets killed in the process of the revenge. Guru Raj's other son, Radha (Manchu Manoj) takes up the counter attack. In his mission, Radha gets encountered with some twists. What is that? How did he manage to take the revenge? forms the rest of the story.

Manchu Manoj has a different outing in Attack. His performance and getup is a make over for him. He also got the intensity levels pumping in the second half and towards the climax of the film. Jagapathi Babu is good while Vadde Naveen gets an impressive role for his comeback. Prakash Raj is fine in a cameo like role. Surabhi gets a limited role and is wasted. Poonam Kaur is too loud in a weird role. Abhimanyu Singh as baddie looked very silly.

Ram Gopal Varma once again puts his fans in the docks with a non-serious attitude. It is a story which we are seeing from 80s and it was accompanied by a very weak narration. Ram Gopal Varma stuffed it with many characters and taking hell lot of time to explain them and the motive behind the revenge drama. Further the climax is such a pain that it never looked like ending.

The camera angles particularly the aerial shots of Old City are good. Music by Ravi Shankar do not even deserves a mention. The film is just 2 hours long but still the Editor could trim several scenes indicating what Ram Gopal Varma actually did there.
