Amazing to hear familiar voices - and a couple of new ones - tell us the story of the Dragon Warrior who is facing a new adventure. This time from a scary warrior from the spirit world with a chi-sapping technique. The humor is unrestrained as before and we become children again as we watch Po and his friends defeat the baddies and have time to gorge on dumplings.

The film offers entertainment for children while being substantive enough to keep the parents engaged. What it is not, is fresh. It offers everything we have come to expect from the franchise without breaking any new ground.this film doesn’t live up to the high standards set by the first two parts but still manages to stay endearing and fun, like a giant panda hug.

The first two films laid down a distinctive visual template which this pushes ever further into trippy, sliced-and-diced abstraction, nodding frenetically to the techniques of the wuxia martial arts genre.The summer ahead is looking madly stuffed with talking animals, but Po has jammed his bulging frame through first, and done it with style.
