Run Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2016 | U | Comedy, Remake
Critics:
Finally, Run is a disappointing remake of a very good film. Those who watched the Original will not like it at all. And for those who did not watch that, it will be a passable film at most.

The recession effect makes Sanju (Sundeep Kishan) suddenly jobless. At the same time, he is in dire need for money for his sister's wedding. For that he borrows money from a ruthless money lender, Vaddi Raja (Bobby Simha) for a high interest. A very easy guess, Sanju fails to repay and Vaddi Raja is after him. And then there is his childhood girlfriend Ammu (Anisha Ambrose) who elopes to live with Sanju going against her father's (Kasi Viswanath) wish. Vaddi Raja later kidnaps Ammu. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Sundeep Kishan does a fantastic job as an youngster who is in all sorts of trouble. Anisha Ambrose is good on screen but some how the chemistry between them did not work out. Brahmaji is very good in a crucial character. Posani is once again good in his trade mark character. Bobby Simha who acted in the original reprised the same role in the remake and he is good as well. Rest of the characters are okay.

Ani Kanneganti who previously directed flop films like Asadhyudu, Mr.Nookaya selected a safe route for this film. Run is the remake of a film which is successful in Tamil and Malayalam. He did not try to make any major changes to the original and played a safe route. He also restricted the run time of the film to just 110 minutes to make sure the film is racy. But some how the soul of the film is missing and the audience never connected to the film.

All the songs are like speed breakers and do not carry any luster. Back Ground score is fine but loud at some places. Camera work by B.Rajasekhar is good. Editing is also fine and production values are okay. Dialogues should have been more better and effective. Action sequences are good.

Finally, Run is a disappointing remake of a very good film. Those who watched the Original will not like it at all. And for those who did not watch that, it will be a passable film at most.
