Criminal English Movie

Feature Film | 2016 | UA | Action, Crime, Drama, Mystery, Thriller
Critics:
You've seen it all before: CIA, torture, mafia criminals, tech crime, missiles, bag of money, violence, beating people to death... Yawn inducing. No matter how good Kevin Costner looks even today, his bizarre haircut and the lame story he has to deal with seems like a desperate attempt to make a comeback.

Blame this movie on Weird Science. Memories of one good CIA agent planted in a vicious man. If it works as an experiment, the CIA finds out where the bag of money and contacts of the baddie on the loose are... Of course the bad guy is Kevin Costner and of course he will get headaches because 'there's another man in his head'.

The bad guy seems to be one step ahead, sitting at a computer, what he wanted from the good CIA agent still not clear and for the CIA to go through so much trouble for one bag of money that belongs to a fugitive seems like a colossal waste of money.

The movie plods through so slowly you find yourself hoping the good CIA agent's wife shoots the vicious guy with her husband's memories dead. There is a predictable 'child of dead guy' trope in the film which is so annoying. Overall there is not a single new thing that we want to applaud in action or thought. Great cast like Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Ryan Reynolds cannot do anything to improve the movie at all. Thankfully the climax sort of wakes you up and you go home with an image of Kevin Costner looking skeptically at the screen. That is the best part of the movie.
