Raja Ram (Nara Rohit) is a wannabe film director who is desperately waiting for his first chance. One day he gets a letter from a person claiming to be a film director. He offers Raja a chance provided he impresses with a climax for his other movie. However the offer comes with a danger to Raja which is ploy to make him a killer of Vijay Manick (Taraka Ratna), a dread criminal. What happens next in Raja's life forms the rest of the story.

Before going in to the performances, Nara Rohit deserves a special mention for his unique story selection. Coming to the performance, its high time the actor concentrates on his growing body and tone it down. Despite being chubby, he managed some steps in this film. Coming to acting, he is fine but needs to improve a lot in dialogue delivery. Taraka Ratna looks good as a villain and his body language is also impressive. But some how the X factor needed for a villain is missing. Isha Talwar even after couple of films, does not look like a heroine material. It is refreshing to see Shivaji Raja after a long time and he makes a good comeback. Srinivas Avasarala's cameo is worth mentioning.

The

debut director Pradeep came up with a good interesting subject for his first film and specied up things with good twists but good things end there. He badly faltered with the screenplay which makes audience impatient. To add commercial value to the film, he added the love track and comedy which are totally forces. Bad editing and mediocre audio by Sai Karthik and not up to the mark, camera work further disappoints. Production Values are good.

Finally, Raja Cheyyi Vesthe is a very good thriller on paper but the director faltered badly in executing it to perfection. An experienced campaigner would have done wonders but then, it happened like it should not have happened to Nara Rohit.
