Rayudu is another routine mass entertainer with too much of Tamil nativity. Only some masses in B,C centers may connect to that. Cutting down the dose of melodrama could have done better for the film.

Rayudu (Vishal) is a labour working at the market yard of Anantapur. He lives with his grand mother and falls in love with Bhagyalakshmi (Sri Divya). However the lady love brings in a problem with her, an unsettled enmity with Rolex Bachi (RK Suresh) who eliminated her mother. Rest of the story is all about how Rayudu steps in to help her in the tussle and later about a twist of how he himself is involved to the death of Bhagyalakshmi's mother.

Vishal who is a synonym for mass roles, came up with one more such and walked through it effortlessly. Particularly he is very impressive in the action sequences, dialogue delivery and emotions. Sree Divya is very impressive in a bold role. Soori gets the much needed comic touch to the film. RK Suresh looks menacing as the baddie. Rest of the actors are okay.

Rayudu is yet another routine story. Treatment and screenplay should be perfect to pull off such films but director Muttaiah faltered in that. The first half of the film is okay with some comedy scenes here and there. The half is totally dedicated to setting up the stage with out going in to story. As the story unfolds in the second half, the proceedings go slow. But the final twist is good ensuring a decent climax. The biggest let down in the film is the too much of Tamil nativity with too much of violence, melodrama and hard core action sequences which may not go well with Telugu audience.

The dubbing department could not take proper care of the songs. They are totally disappointing with bad lyrics. However the back ground score of Imman is very good. Velraj's camera work is very authentic for the rural backdrop film. Editor Praveen KL is a disappointment as he should have chopped some good portion in the second half. Action choreography by ANL Arasu is good and production values are appropriate.

Finally, Rayudu is another routine mass entertainer with too much of Tamil nativity. Only some masses in B,C centers may connect to that. Cutting down the dose of melodrama could have done better for the film.
