Selfie Raja Telugu Movie

Critics:
Selfie Raja ends up as another disappointing comedy caper. Its high time, Allari Naresh comes out of the routine and predictable stuff and deliver something different. Unless you are hellbent on encouraging Allari Naresh, you can easily skip the film.

Selfie Raja ( Allari Naresh) is a happy go lucky guy who is a selfie maniac. Raja marries the daughter( Kamna Ranawat) of a police commissioner (Nagineedu). In a bid to impress his new wife, over enthusiastic Raja messes it up and it threatens to end his marriage. Raja then decided to end his life with the help of a contract killer (Ravi Babu). New twists take place in Raja's life. What are those? Where it leads? forms the rest of the story.

Allari Naresh plays a role which is similar to numerous roles he played in the past. However barring that he executes the role with tremendous ease invoking good laughter. Heroines - Kamna Ranawat and Sakshi Chowdary are present in the film just for the sake of songs. Except for that glamour show, they have very little to do. And then there are several character artistes and comedians in the film like Ravi Babu, Nagineedu, Sapthagiri, Thagubothu Ramesh, Prudhvi, Krishna Bhagwan and Shakalaka Shankar etc. Except for Ravi Babu, Ramesh and Prudhvi, none of the others got proper roles.

First half of the film is a bit decent even though several comedy scenes are routine and predictable. Interval twist is a bit interesting but then the second half slips in to monotony and tests the patience of the audience. The climax again despite have some good comedy, is largely predictable. The film failure can be largely attributed to director G.Eshwar Reddy who seem to be having the film slapstick comedy films do not need proper direction. Some of the one-liners are hilarious.

Music and background score by Sai Kartheek are bad. All the songs come at wrong time and act as speed breakers. Cinematography is bad. Editing is messy.

Finally, Selfie Raja ends up as another disappointing comedy caper. Its high time, Allari Naresh comes out of the routine and predictable stuff and deliver something different. Unless you are hellbent on encouraging Allari Naresh, you can easily skip the film.
