Oxygen Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2017 | UA | Action
Critics:
Oxygen is a good concept but not ably handled by the director. The movie can be a one time watch especially because of the interval twist and good action sequences.

Krishna Prasad alias Sanjeev (Gopichand) is a US Returned. He is in India to marry Shruti (Rashi Khanna) and lives with their family which has a life threat from Veerabhadram (Sayaji Shinde). Krishna Prasad stands by them but then a sudden twist changes the total perception towards him. What is that? How did that happen? forms the rest of the story.

Gopichand has tried a slightly different role in this film. He will be seen as a soft guy in the first half and ruthless man in the second. Rashi Khanna is gorgeous while Anu Emmanuel is more of a guest role but crucial to the film. Jagapathi Babu is impressive while Abhimanyu Singh, Kick Shaam, and Brahmaji are good in the roles they are offered. Ali is okay in a little role.

Oxygen is an out and out mass masala with the Interval Twist being crucial to the story as it changes the whole story flow. The director touched a social issue in the second half but after the twist is revealed, everything is too predictable without any twists and goes on a routine formula. The first half is also boring and Entertainment quotient is also not up to the mark.

Jothi Krishna came up with a good storyline but the commercial treatment of the story did not work fully. His amateurish handling came as a dampener. Yuvan Shankar Raja's Background score is better than the music album. The song about the greatness of Telugu is good but the item song is disappointing. Camera work is okay while editing should have been better. Action Sequences will enthrall the masses while the production values are okay.

Finally, Oxygen is a good concept but not ably handled by the director. The movie can be a one time watch especially because of the interval twist and good action sequences.
