'My Story' certainly has the elements of the run-of-the-mill romantic dramas. Notably, Prithviraj and Parvathy act as the cornerstones of the plot. The film drums up ample support from its lead pairs and the scenic locales of Portugal, covering up the thin layer of intensity in the romance.

A poor screenplay by Shanker Ramakrishnan and an equally poor direction by Roshni Dinakar cannot give birth to a great film. The storyline which leaves many questions unanswered is unconvincing. A marathon race through the city and suburbs of Lisbon does not satisfy a tourist either. Parvathy has done excellently her two roles as mother and daughter. She has put in great effort to give life to the characters belonging to two different generations. Shaan Rehman's melodies are sweet.
