Inkokkadu is just one more addition to the club of films which have failed the hard work of Vikram. If there is a unique selling point in the film, it is the awesome performance of Vikram as Love and there are some good parts here and there.

Malaysian Police are on a hunt for drug peddler Love (Vikram) who smuggles a Speed Drug which gives an instant kick when inhaled through an asthma inhaler. They stumbled upon the past of an Ex-RAW agent, Akhil (Vikram) whose wife (Nayanthara) was killed by Love and ask him to take up the case with the help of Aarushi (Nithya Menon). What happens next in the mission forms the rest of the story.

Vikram is the heart and soul of the film and carries the entire film on his shoulders in the dual role as Akhil and Love. Particularly, his performance as Love is superb. Nithya Menon did not get a role which we would expect from her. Nayanthara is super gorgeous and does a different act in Inkokkadu. Thambi Ramaiah is too loud in a poorly written role. Karunakaran as Peter is okay.

A film like this should be accompanied with a racy screenplay but director Anand Shankar failed to provide it. The first half creates some interest with good chases and interesting investigation scenes. The interval bang sets a good stage for the second half but then things go wayward very soon. The pace drops at multiple places while a couple of songs come as speed breakers. Finally, when the twist is revealed, everything gets predictable.

Harris Jairaj has delivered an okay music which is further disappointing with the dubbing lyrics. The background score, however, is a highlight. The camera work by RD Rajasekhar is excellent and some of the visuals of Malaysia are breath-taking. Editing by Bhuvan Srinivasan is so far and has a role in the debacle. Production Values are good.

Finally, Inkokkadu is just one more addition to the club of films which have failed the hard work of Vikram. If there is a unique selling point in the film, it is the awesome performance of Vikram as Love and there are some good parts here and there.
