Aditya (Nani) is a native of Bhimavaram and works as an assistant director in SS Rajamouli's team. He happens to meet Suma (Priya Shri), an IT SAP Consultant who gets floored to his jovial character. But then Aditya narrates to her, his failed love story with Kiran (Anu Emanuel) in his hometown. But then Suma even admires his frankness and continues to love him. Right then, Kiran comes back to Aditya's life. The rest of the story is all about why did she walk away? Why did she come back? What happens next to Aditya between the two girls?

The role of Aditya is a tailor made one for Nani and he walks through it effortlessly and injects life in to the character with his natural ease. The Two heroines - Anu Emmanuel and Priya Shri are not that eye pleasing but are aptly fit in to their roles. Anu Emmanuel is more good particular in the half sarees than the modern wear used occasionally. Priya Shri looked skinny and is an okay time. Posani in the first half and Vennela Kishore in the second shouldered the comedy department. Rajamouli is seen in a little cameo as himself and it came out well. And then there is a little cameo by Raj Tharun in the climax.

Majnu is more or less is the same strategy as Virinchi Varma's maiden directorial, Uyyala Jampala. The story is nothing novel but the entertainment quotient and picturesque locations combined with good treatment worked in favour. The Love Story in Bhimavaram is very well shot and is the heard of the film. And then the firting episodes of Aditya and Suma are also neatly dealt. Coming to the flip side, the director could not come up with a convincing answer for why Kiran changed her mind twice. The second half has become very predictable with Pre-climax being bored but then the climax is fine.

The songs composed by Gopi Sunder have come out well and they are picturized in colourful locations. Interestingly, the first four songs come in a rush in the first hour of the film but still that does not bother us much. The camera work by Gnanasekhar is too good while the editing by Pravin Pudi is adequate. The Production Values of Gemini Kiran's Anandi Arts and Keva Movies are Good as well.

Finally, Majnu is a breezy entertainer with entertainment as the mantra. There is nothing novel but then no heavy moments or boringly routine scenes. Give it a try this weekend!
