Tirupachi - A film with few foreign locations, flying fights and unchallengeable heroism from Vijay. Without doubt a great event for the Vijay fans.

The story starts at Tirupachi, a village near Madurai where Sivagiri (Vijay) makes his living by making famous Tirupachi Aruvaal. His whole ambition being bringing up his most dear sister, Karpagam(Mallika). He wants to see her married to the best guy of his reach. He marries her to Sai, a nice guy who runs a college canteen in Chennai. After marriage they shifts to Chennai.

Sivagiri's associate Kannapan (Benjamin 'Autograph' fame) gets a visa to Dubai and to see off him Sivagiri reaches Chennai. He gets to know that a Mafia controls Chennai and they mishandles his sister and husband. Sivagiri decides to risk his life, finish off the Mafia to give Karpagam a peaceful life. The single headed encounters make up the story of 'Tirupachi'. Malayalam actor Manoj K Jayan is appearing as a police officer Raj Guru.

Nothing is new in the film. Typically as any 'annan-thankachi pasam' films this film also brings you fighting sequences and rough sentiments.

The music by Dheena is below average. The movie is filled with Vijay's flying fights, songs and punchy dialogues. One may wonder what is the role of Trisha in this film.
