Andhhagadu Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2017 | UA | Comedy, Romantic
Critics:
Andhhagadu is a watchable affair as a whole. There are commercial ingredients embedded in a somewhat different story. It would have been great if the director puts a little more effort in the second half.

Gautham (Raj Tharun) is a blind Radio Jockey of Vishakapatnam who falls in love with Dr Nethra (Hebah Patel). Nethra brings eye sight to Gautham, thanks to a donor. But once he begins to see the World, he happens to see his dead do not who force him to commit some murders. People around Gautham thinks he is mad. Rest of the story is all about how Gautham manages to come out of this mess.

Raj Tharun gets to play a multi-faceted role in the movie as it is a cross-genre film. He pulls it off ease carrying the film on his shoulders. Hebah Patel looks out of shape in some places and the performance is mostly decent. Raja Ravindra makes a big impression as the main villain. Rajendra Prasad excellent in a crucial role while Sayaji Shinde and the other cast are adequate.

As said earlier, the movie is a Cross-Genre entertainer. It starts as a romantic comedy and later slips into horror and finally turns to be a revenge thriller. Writer turned director Veligonda Srinivas chose good subject but is success partly as a whole. The first half is decent with good interval twist but the director failed to do justice for the second half and finally ending up delivering a decent product.

Most of the songs come as speed-breakers while the background score is adequate. The camera work is decent while the editing is adequate. The Production Values are appropriate.

Finally, Andhhagadu is a watchable affair as a whole. There are commercial ingredients embedded in a somewhat different story. It would have been great if the director puts a little more effort in the second half.
