Gandhinagaril Unniyarcha is a movie filled with cliches and a predictable story which nobody will be hooked in to watch till the end. Add to it the pathetic direction and poor performance from the cast you've a movie that is bound to fail.

The last time a movie was released with an elderly defiant woman playing the protagonist was almost a year back. Guess who donned the same in her next movie - Rajni Chandi. This time though it's with debutant director Jayesh Mynagappally who based his movie on Saju Kodiyan's script. A script which lacked charm and was doomed to fail because anyone with a little commonsense would've guessed how the plot would unfurl in no time. Add to that the pathetic performance from the lead actress, and even a not so bad performance from Ramesh Pisharady couldn't save the movie.

Unniyarcha, an obstreperous woman who lives in Gandhinagar is in her late 50's or early 60's. Rajni Chandi appears as Unniyarcha a character reminiscent of her earlier movie. She has a chitty fund of her own and travels with a bunch of goons in a jeep. All goes well for her until the entry of a police officer donned by Kottayam Naseer. Kottayam Naseer for some reason wants to exact revenge on Unniyarcha and his desperation for revenge and his attempts to revoke his revenge are what moves the story forward.

Nothing to write about the performances of any of the actors in this movie. Also behind the scenes Jayesh Mynagappally's direction and Saju Kodiyan's script proved disastrous for the movie. Bijibal's BGM couldn't rise to its usual levels while cinematography by Vipin Mohan was average at the best. Kudos to Dileep Dennis for clocking the movie at 2 hours.

Gandhinagaril Unniyarcha is a movie filled with cliches and a predictable story which nobody will be hooked in to watch till the end. Add to it the pathetic direction and poor performance from the cast you've a movie that is bound to fail. Even characters which have been added only for the sole purpose of humor fails to deliver. Even with a duration of 2 hours this is one of those movies which fails to generate any kind of interest from the viewer.
