Adhugo Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2018
Critics:
Weak Story, Blunt Screenplay, Outdated and Boring scenes have altogether made Adhugo one of the badly made movies of the year. It is a miracle if people can sit through that second half.

Bunty, a piglet is being looked after with love and care by a child but was snatched by a gang as their boss needs a piglet with three moles. Errors and accidents follow which lands up Bunty in the hands of a lover boy (debutant Abhishek Varma) who actually needs a pet dog to gift to his girlfriend (Nabha Natesh). But then, Bunty swallows a chip with land details belonging to Six-pack Shakthi (Ravibabu). Two more gangs are after him to put him in a race. What happens next in the story forms the rest.

Adhugo is the case of all the characters trying to do some comedy and none of them worked. Nabha is beautiful while Ravibabu is good as Six Pack Shakthi. Except for Ravibabu, Nabha Natesh, Vijay Sai, and RK, rest of the cast are of newcomers. Coming to the technical departments, Music by Prashanth R Vihari is forgettable. Cinematography by N Sudhakar Reddy is second-rate while the VFX is tacky. Ravibabu has got everything wrong in terms of story, characterizations, comedy and what not. It is the case of nothing working in a film.

Adhugo is a showreel of many disgusting scenes in the name of comedy. In a particular scene, a comedian is seen staring into the piglet's back, only to be smeared with its poop. Too many villain gangs going after the piglet only add to the confusion and they are combined with outdated scenes. The second half ignores the only familiar faces of the film - Ravibabu and the lead pair which very much speaks about the director's lack of vision. The first half of the film is bad while the second half is unbearable. The team claims to have the screenplay by Veteran Screenplay Writer, Sathyanand. How on Earth did that happen? The climax is utterly senseless.

Finally, Weak Story, Blunt Screenplay, Outdated and Boring scenes have altogether made Adhugo one of the badly made movies of the year. It is a miracle if people can sit through that second half.
