Jeeva and Gajala plays the lead roles. The supporting cast has Rahman and the Malayalam actor Murali.
Ram is involved in spiritualism with a sober attitude towards life. Karthikayini falls for him and when she decides to reveal her love to him, her friends dissuade her from doing it. "He's like an ascetic," they say. "You'll never succeed," they add. But the girl garners courage and tearfully reveals her love to Ram. But Ram's response surprises Karthikayini.
