Srinath (Kunchako Boban) is a bright and promising assistant director in an Advertisement firm. He hails from a middle class family. His father passed away and he lives with his loving mother who works as a cashier in a jewelry shop. Mathappan (Harisree Ashokan) and Nanditha (Nithya Das) are his close friends.

Srinath gets his big break to direct an ad film independently. At the location, he meets a girl and falls in love with her. The ad film is an instant hit and offers pour in.

A love struck Srinath finds out that the girl he is madly, deeply in love with is Amritha (Bhavana), an MCA student hailing from Swargapuri on the Kerala-Karnataka border.

Srinath proposes to Amritha but she rejects it. He is despondent and inconsolable. Unable to bear the sight of her son in trauma, his mother and friends approach Amritha. At their request, Amritha meet Srinath. She states that although she loves him, she will not do any thing against her loving father, Devendra Pattelar (Sidhique)’s wish.

A determined Srinath decides to win the heart of Pattelar, and marry Amritha with his consent. Rest of the story narrates all the difficulties Srinath undergoes to accomplish his mission.

As far as acting is concerned the roles of Amritha and Devendra Pattelar were safe in the hands of Bhavana and Sidhique. Kunchacko Boban remains the chocolate boy with nothing much to contribute. Bhanupriya is very cold in the role and her dubbing is miserable.

Rajesh Pillai’s directorial venture delivers him nothing but a big question mark over his ability. All in all no one will be profited with the film. To sum up, “Hridayathil Sookshikkan” is an avoidable film by all parameters.
