MLA should be an okay watch for those who are just expecting nothing but Time Pass. Mind you keep logic aside while watching!

Kalyan (Kalyan Ram) likes Indu (Kajal Agarwal) who turns out to be his Boss. With the company landing into trouble with a Local goon, Kalyan and Indu Team-up to sort out the issues and eventually fall for each other. But there lies the twist in the tale when Indu's father wants to marry her to an MLA and the rest is all about how Kalyan becomes one.

Kalyan Ram has been improving with every film post Pataas. He came up with a fine performance and is at ease in Mass Episodes. Kajal Agarwal has limited scope especially in the second half and is adequate. Race Gurram Ravi Kishan as the main baddie did well. Brahmanandam, Vennela Kishore and Prudhvi provided decent laughs here and there.

Upen

dra Madhav, the debut director tried to play safe with a Pakka Commercial Entertainer and did not take any risk trying to experiment. The first half of the film is in the style of his Guru Srinu Vaitla and the second half goes in Koratala Siva's format. But then, the story has got nothing new and further the second half is very predictable. Mani Sharma's songs are okay but their placement is terribly wrong. The background score in the action sequences is very good. Camera work is okay while the Editing is adequate. Production Values are Impressive.

MLA is a routine Commercial Entertainer with Action, Conflict, Entertainment laced with a bit of Romance. With the comedy part working, it should work with the masses. A bit of better work on the romance and music should have made the film much better. Nevertheless, this should be an okay watch for those who are just expecting nothing but Time Pass. Mind you keep logic aside while watching!
