Jawaan is a one-time watch with some sequences working out here and there. Sai Dharam Tej should be admired for breaking out from the monotony and doing content backed films. It has to be seen how the movie fares at the box office give that family audience have no entertainment quotient as well.

Jai (Sai Dharam Tej) and Keshava (Prasanna) are childhood friends. While Jai is an honest patriot, Keshava is selfish. They get separated in childhood. Jai aspires to become a DRDO scientist while Keshava joins Mafia. Keshava is after Octopus Missile in DRDO and rest of the story is all about how Jai stops him.

Sai Dharam Tej who is seen in jovial roles until now has tried a responsible role in Jawaan. He made some changes to his look and as well as dialogue delivery. Mehreen is confined to glamour treat only. Prasanna makes a stunning impression as a baddie. Rest of the characters do not have much significance.

Jawaan has a resemblance to Ram Charan's Dhruva as the movie is more about the Mind Game between two individuals. The sequences between Sai Dharam Tej and Prasanna are interesting. The songs come as speed-breakers and the regressive romantic track, missing emotions presented without precision, verve make things go dreary much to the disappointment of Sai Dharam Tej. The second half should have been handled better and the climax is even disappointing.

BVS Ravi chose a routine story and the treatment is more in Dhruva hangover. He should have taken care of the conflict point and emotions to ensure that it works. Dialogues are well written. Guhan's camera work is impressive. Thaman's songs are disappointing but the background score, however. is superb. Editing by SR Sekhar is decent and the Production Values are grand.

Finally, Jawaan is a one-time watch with some sequences working out here and there. Sai Dharam Tej should be admired for breaking out from the monotony and doing content backed films. It has to be seen how the movie fares at the box office give that family audience have no entertainment quotient as well.
