Priyadarshan’s"Kilukkam" was a major hit at the box office. Now after a lapse of 16 long years comes "Kilukkam Kilukilukkam", its sequel. The lead characters of "Kilukkam" such as Joji (Mohan Lal), Nischal (Jagathy Sreekumar), Kittunni (Innocent) etc. find place in the new film as well.

Joji who marries Nandini (Revathy) in "Kilukkam" is now settled in Germany. But his teammates in the film continue to languish in Ootty. Kittunni is now a servant in the house of Captain Nandu, an even more supercilious character than his erstwhile master, the Judge in "Kilukkam". Nischal, still the jobless vagabond, continues to roam the streets toting his antiquated camera, hoping lady luck will smile on him like she did on Joji, and is ever on the look out for a slightly demented girl to change his fortunes. It is then that Chandini reaches Ootty. Believing luck at last has come his way, he tries to befriend her.

Royichan (Kunjakko Bobban) and friend Appachan (Salim Kumar) run a travel agency in Kochi. Krishnadas (Vijayaraghavan), the Mayor of Cochin is murdered. His daughter Chandini (Kavya Madhavan) goes missing. The needle of suspicion falls on Royichan and Appachan who shift to Ootty to escape the police dragnet. Balu (Jayasurya) and Ponnappan (Harisree Ashokan) are victims of a visa racket who, attracted by the reward offered for finding a lost kid, also land up in Ootty. Through a series of adventures and misadventures, they finally team up with Nischal and Kittunni, and with Joji, who has flown in specially from Germany to trace the missing Chandini.

"Kilukkam Kilukilukkam" has all the makings of a wholesome entertainer, provided it does not succumb like most sequels do, to over-expectation from the part of the audience.
