'Shambhu'comes out as a bad film from reel one and ends up as a very poor presentation that has been released in the Kannada film industry these

days.

In these days when everyone is talking about the growth of the Kannada film industry in terms of some good presentations and increasing box office collections, this film produced by a veteran producer like Rajashekhar comes out as a whimper.

The story of the film is just a remix of some new and old films made in non Kannada films. There are several sequences in the film which remind you of Vijay's hit Tirumalai.

Like in 'Tirumalai' Murali the hero of the film

is an orphan. Our film makers take extreme liberties when the hero is an orphan. He can do anything and everything like bashing villains, mouth punching dialogues, But he does not have any sentiments, value for compassion and love. He believes in hard work and is working in a garage.

He accidentally meets Maanya and falls for her.Maanya wants to use Murali to settle scores with her father(Avinash) who has some evil designs to marry her off to his business rival's son.Avinash is a cruel business tycoon who does not value the feelings of his daughter, but wants to build bridges with Rangayana Raghu who is also equally a cruel rival.Maanya reforms Shambhu by telling him how feelings for others is important and how the element of sacrifice and affection makes the difference in life. Then the film revolves around how Shambhu clears all the bottlenecks to get his lady love forms the rest of the story.

There are hundreds of stories like this which have been made in Kannada before.Added to this beaten track factor, the narration of the film is

boring as the thin story is narrated like Chewing a bubble gum. There is a separate comedy track which has been shot in poor taste.Writer Dwarki who became a full fledged film director through his earlier film 'Gunna'which was a box office disaster once again comes out with a cropper in this film.

There is nothing which could be said of the film is positive terms.Even good artists like Murali and Maanya suffer because of lackadaisical story line and a poor presentation.Murali fails to deliver anything fresh in the film, but looks good in actin sequences.Maanya is slightly better.

There are many films in which Avinash and Rangayana Raghu have done similar roles and they have nothing to offer special in the film.Ramesh Krishna's music fails to enthuse the audience.

It is better to avoid seeing this film than to feel sorry after seeing it.
