The fights may be generic, and the plot may not be novel, but Bloody Daddy works solely based on the performances. For instance, Shahid Kapoor brings out a sense of chiseled intensity that works well for the movie.

It’s a witchy sub-genre marked by feral characters, unhinged brutality, and pitch-black humour. Bloody Daddy at best has a one-night stand with this terrain. It can’t fathom settling in.

With its slick cinematography (Marcin Laskawiec) and breathless pace, Bloody Daddy is not really made for OTT, but that's where it ends up. The performances are serviceable. Shahid Kapoor (too stylish and distinctive a hairstyle for a Delhi cop!) keeps up the tension on his face.
