ENNITTUM which means 'even then' or 'even after' tells the story of four college-going youngsters. Even though the film has a novel and as yet experimented story thread, the way the thread is woven into the fabric of the film leaves much wanting. One fails to understand why the director says the story happens in Pondichery and then shoots the entire film in Cochin itself. Just changing the number plates on the vehicles shown in the film won't fool the audience. Regarding direction as well as the other departments of the film, the less said the better. Except for the passable performances by senior artists like Manoj K Jayan, Lalu Alex, Devan and T P Madhavan and to some extent the comic inputs from Salim Kumar and Cochin Haneefa, the film falls flat.

The story revolves around two boys and two girls Prem, Jeeth, Sneha and Sujee at a college campus in Pondichery, who in an effort to do something novel for the College Union Inauguration, decide to do a stage show depicting real life situations in marital life. The program gets covered by a national TV channel. The pair that gets the first place as the most compatible couple happens to be Prem and Sneha who in real life are forever pulling pranks on each other. With the first prize in their kitty, the group decides to go to Goa to celebrate, where peer pressure induces them to get married. They agree to it on condition they be allowed to live together for three months to test their compatibility. At the end of the three months however, they decide to call it quits.

The film which tries to examine compatibility in marital life, stands far removed from reality, and people tend to lose interest even before the interval. The music by Jassie Gift, which could have been one of the pulling factors at least for some of the members of the audience, is another big let down. There isn't a single song worth remembering. The whole packaging of the movie lets you down from the very beginning. ENNITTUM if you want to see it, there is very little this reviewer can do to dissuade you.
