Blending the vendetta of a Mumbai gang with the romantic aspirations of a Kochi-based techie, Sahasam sets its story at the confluence of these two worlds. As a romantic action comedy, it offers a lively mix of humour and suspense-at least initially. The early curiosity around a mysterious password keeps us engaged, but as the plot unfolds, it reveals a lack of narrative heft. Writer-director Bibin Krishna's style often evokes the chaotic, slapstick comedies of earlier decades, and while there's charm in that, the novelty wears thin.

The first half engages with its parallel threads-a techie's love story, a cop's pursuit of tech-savvy criminals, and the fate of these characters against the bustling backdrop of Kochi. Bibin shows flashes of consistency in narration and execution, but the momentum sags in the absence of fresh ideas. The climax leans heavily on the overplayed question: "Who will get the password?" while the romance feels strictly by-the-numbers.

Opening with a voiceover from one of the characters, the film focuses on Jeevan (Ramzan Muhammed) and Sera Issac (Gouri G Kishan), whose love story collides with the affairs of Mumbai gangster Victor (Yog Japee). Victor is on the trail of the elusive Wolf (Babu Antony), a key figure in a cryptocurrency scam. Meanwhile, a police team led by Rajeev (Narain) arrives in Kochi to track the online fraudsters.

When Jeevan tries to elope with Sera during her engagement to wealthy Rony Zakaria (Jeeva Joseph), her relatives dispatch Babeesh (Baiju Santhosh) and Preman (Bhagath Manuel) to Kochi. Suspicion falls on Jeevan's friend Sam (Shabareesh Varma), a flirtatious roommate with dreams of moving to the US. Sam's subplot-complete with workplace antics and his boss Gayathri aka Gaga (Tessa)-adds lighthearted diversions. Matters escalate when Wolf turns up at their flat pretending to be an ordinary man, and Victor arrives in Kochi to hunt him down for the all-important password.

Rajeev's personal life weaves into the main plot as he suspects his wife Priya (Varsha Ramesh) of infidelity. The story barrels toward a finale where all characters converge in a frenzied mix of action and gunfire. Narain delivers a comically tinged performance without tipping into excess, while Babu Antony, in a more restrained role, stands out with his sharp screen presence and emotional nuance, especially in his scenes with Gayathri.

The ensemble cast does well within the film's lighthearted framework, but the writing struggles to elevate the comedic chaos into something memorable. While the gangster comedy angle offers some laughs, the overall progression remains firmly within predictable bounds. Sahasam is buoyant and energetic, but its three intersecting storylines ultimately lack the substance to leave a lasting impression.
