The central character of the film is Sadanandan(Dileep), a school teacher, who goes about dressed in white and is a firm believer in God. Sadanandan is so staunch a believer that he is obsessed with the idea of looking for the right time for whatever he or family members does. He always smears his forehead with sacred ash and blindly believes in omens and is superstitious. For others, Sadanandan and his beliefs are just a matter of jest, but for Sadanandan, it is a very serious thing and he never ever cares to bother about what the others think about him or his beliefs. He gets married to young Sumangala(Kavya Madhavan). Though pious-minded and religious, Sumangala is not an obsessed believer like Sadanandan. She does not like her husband's ways, but resigns to it as any devout wife would. She learns to take it all in a light vein. In the meantime, a marriage is going to take place in Sadanandan's family. Sadanandan, who sees some bad omens, speaks out his mind before the other members of the family. He declares that the marriage, if conducted, would have disastrous consequences. This irks the others in the family and that brings Sadanandan at clash with his kith and kin. And consequently Sadanandan, who is not ready to compromise upon his beliefs, decides to move out of the family house, along with his wife. Small incidents in their life make rest of the story.

There is nothing new in this Dileep starrer. It's just another mandatory comedy where Dileep tries the same things which we have seen thousand times. Rest of the cast include Siddique, Cochin Haneefa, Jagathy Sreekumar, Janardhanan, Augustine, Salim Kumar, Unnikrishnan Nampoothiri, Geetha Salaam, Bindu Panicker, Maya Viswanath, Sukumari, Niveditha and Baby Keerthana.
