Parveen Babi is a very well known face in the Hindi film industry and "Woh Lamhe" opens diary of Parveen Babi in front of this whole world. The diary is full of sadness and screams seeking for help.

It is a very serious movie which makes you feel the pain of a person. A person who is well established in the industry but the world is unaware about the reality behind her plastic smile. No one recognizes the pain and cries which is kept inside for so long.

The movie starts with a very shocking scene where Sana Azim (Kangana Ranaut) in a hotel room, (in the bath tub) slashes her wrist to kill herself. Aditya Garewal (Shiney Ahuja) who is a successful director get a phone call early in the morning with news about Sana Azim found in some hotel in Mumbai and they have admitted in the hospital.

Aditya rushes to the hospital with his friend Sam (Purab Kohli) and the story takes you to 3 years back when Sana Azim is a super star and Aditya Garewal is a struggling director who is trying to get Sana act in his film and finally he manages it too. Sana who is frustrated with her current life, finds happiness with Aditya. She finds the freedom and love which she is missing.

But she also suffers from schizophrenic hallucination which disrupts her career and she gets admitted to the ICU which makes Aditya, leaving his career aside, take her to Goa, away from the media and film industry.

I must say, this movie is one of the best movies I have watched this year. Kangana flourishes the film with her brilliant acting. She fits very well in the character of Sana (Parveen Babi).

Shiney Ahuja too did a great act. I also liked the dialogues in the movie; some of them are really touching. Mohit Suri has made sure to keep everything well managed. But the movie leaves few questions like, where did Sana disappear for 3 years?

To sum things up:

Story: A very well narrated touching, sad but true story of the super star Parveen Babi which makes you sit till the end.

Acting: Kangana, award winning performance. I think this role will act as turning point for her career - Brilliant acting. She is one of the best actors from the Bhatt camp. Shiney Ahuja was great too but Kangana would be the key player in movie’s success. Other actors (Purab Kohli and Shaad Randhawa) did their job well.

Music: Very good music, specially the tracks Kya Mujhe Pyar Hai, Chal Chale and Tu Jo Nahi.

Overall the movie is a brilliant effort and is a must watch. I would give it 3.5 stars out of 5. This movie has a very good potential to do well in theatres and I am sure it will be a hit.
