Azhagiya Thamizh Magan (ATM) is about a youth possessing Extra-Sensory Perception (ESP). This is a typical 'Thalapathi' Vijay film eagerly awaited by his fans and it is sure to provide a delightful feast for them during Deepavali.

In this action thriller, Vijay play a character of two different shades. The storyline itself is kept under wraps. And director Bharathan, a former associate of Dharani, says that there is plenty of twists and turns in the film and it will be a gripping entertainer with all the ingredients of a box-office hit.

Vijay is given company by Shreya and Namitha. This is the second film for Shreya after the release of AVM's blockbuster "Sivaji: The Boss". Glamour girl Namitha, who has attracted a large fan following after her foray into Tamil cinema, is pairing with Vijay for the first time.

The choice of A.R. Rahman as the music director for this flick is considered significant, as he has not worked for any Vijay film after "Udaya" which was long forgotten. There are in all six numbers, including a re-mix of "Pon Magal vandal". All the songs carry the unmistakable stamp of Rahman with brilliant tunes. These songs are already topping the charts. Cinematographer Balasubramaiam has given good support to Bharathan to make ATM a visual treat.
