Story - Neal (Aftab Shivdasani) a billionaire is diagnosed with a fatal heart ailment. Call it luck or chance the doctor (Kishori Shahane Vij) gets a donor, Anahita's husband who died in a road accident and Neal survives the treatment.

The lonesome and the gorgeous Anahitha and Neal fall prey to their body desires. What follows, is the passionate love they share and the murder?

Anahita's confesses to Neal about her husband death, that it's a planned murdered and Ria (Amrita Arora) her best friend, is the culprit. She accuses Ria of having an affair with her husband and since he was a forbidden fruit to her, she decided to slay him. Something about Ria still remains a mystery.

Neal murders Ria's friend Rocky (Amin Hajee), who had murdered Anahita's husband. Being the first time, he fails to check for any evidence. The investigation begins and the sharp-minded cop (Sushant Singh) is set on search of the slayer.

The terror of the Dark continues... and continues to disappoint big time.

Direction - Vikram Bhatt's last hit (Awara Pagal Deewana) was way back in 2002. Since then Footpath, Aetbaar, Inteha, Elaan, Jurm, Deewane Hue Paagal and Ankahee have all failed to click at the Box office. Now, you can safely add Red to the long list. Although the movie has been stylishly shot it lacks content and direction. Also, the way it has been presented is disappointing. Cinematography is stylish while the music (Himesh Reshammiya) is stale.

Acting - Aftab Shivdasani - He shreds the cute-dimple-boy-next-door look for the role and handles his character extremely well. This is one powerful performance. It's high time he works with bigger film-makers who can do justice to his talent.

Celina Jaitley - Much improved from her previous performances. Celina Jaitley looks alluring and impresses for the first time.

Amrita Arora - A very brief role. She has nothing much to do except look good.

Sushanth Singh - A highly talented actor like Sushanth is wasted. He plays the role of a smart cop convincingly.

Overall

Positives - The biggest positive of Red is its run time which thankfully is just about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Also Aftab Shivdhasani carries the movie on his shoulders.

Negatives - Weak narration and characterization. Pathetic dialogues. The screenplay, direction, music… Almost everything.

Rating - 1.5 / 5 (Not recommended)
