Take the script of Hollywood's racy thriller "Cellular", fit in some Bollywood actor-actresses, add two songs to it and bam – Vikram Bhatt's 'Speed' is ready.

First let me take you on a short ride to introduce the story. Zayed Khan who comes to London to pacify his lady love Tanushree Dutta receives a call on his mobile phone from a kidnapped woman, Urmila Mathondkar. She is the wife of Sanjay Suri, an undercover MI5 agent. Zayed is the only lifeline for Urmila to save her son and her husband from doing anything terrible and he too agrees to help her. Sanjay does everything the captivators ask for in attempt to get his wife and child free. Soon he realizes that he is being used as a weapon to assassinate the PM of India on his London tour.

It's just another lay the mouse trap kind of story where you feel that the mouse has fallen into the trap but at the climax emerges a winner. It's a slapstick trend that you have seen many times in Bollywood films. Speed is a rip-off of a Hollywood movie titled 'Cellular' with a similar or rather same obsolete story-line. Vikram has made no effort to make the ride more adventurous. He has just concentrated in making the movie fast paced and lost track of almost everything else. Don't look for any logic or any meaningful sequence in this movie. It's a tough ride on a road full of pits and bumps. Cinematography, action, music is bad.

On the acting front Urmila stands out by putting across her act well. Sanjay Suri is wasted for he doesn't have the look or the zest to fit into the skin of such a character. Zayed Khan looks dashing but as usual needs to work on his expressions. Tanushree Dutta and Sophie are all body and no soul. They no doubt score zero for their acting skills. Aftab should get an award for two things. One is for his bad performance as a villain and the second for his look. He looked hideous and not villainous.

Overall, Speed is a poor product. A ride better avoided. A sure-shot box-office disaster.
