'Kshana Kshana' directed by Sunil Kumar Desai has been designed as a suspense film where the knot of mystique is opened only in the end. In a way some of the portions of this film reminds us of Desai's previous suspense thrillers 'Nishkarsha' and 'Uthkarsha'. It is obvious that Desai is inspired by many Hollywood thrillers as his narrative style is more of less like that of a Hollywood film. He has been successful in keeping the suspense elements unknown till the end and build up the curiosity among the viewers.

The major portions of the film are filled with suspense, but it also has elements of comedy and glamour. The film runs through two different plots and two different investigators are on a mission to unravel the truth. And Desai follows the traditional pattern of narration of suspense films as well as used some modern elements which make it more appealing for the educated class. Strictly speaking in a trade language, the film may have a limited appeal to enlightened and the educated audience, but nevertheless it has some points that may go well with even the mass audience. For example the songs shot in abroad and in Ooty are of high class and entertaining. And it has some good fight compositions also.

'Kshana Kshana' is the story of a film actress Maya who is being followed mysteriously by some unknown persons. She senses that her life is in danger and seeks the help of a body guard. Surprisingly the threat perception increases and she is intimidated even more by her stalker. Then she is kidnapped. Meanwhile, a senior police officer who is investigating the death of a well known doctor of the city gets involved in this curious case of the mystery behind the kidnap of the actress. How the mystery is unraveled in the end is the climax element of the film.

'Kshana Kshana' has several twists and turns which makes the audience to sit in the edge of their seats in many sequences. But it has its negative points also. The songs in the film and some unnecessary sequences do not form part of the main story.

Technically the film is of top standard. Dr. Vishnuvardhan plays the role of an investigative officer with much elan and liveliness. Audithya has given an improved performance in the film and he has really excelled in fight sequences. Among the heroines, Kiran Rathod and Sree Devika are included for the glamour quotient. Prema surprises her fans with a different type of role. Among other artists it is Kishor and Dileep who have scored well.

'Kshana Kshana' is a full length suspense thriller that is bound to appeal audience who would like thrillers and it has some entertaining moments for common audience.
