Nali Naliyuta Kannada Movie
Nali Naliyutha is supposed to be a full-length fun film, but it turns out to be an average fare because the film's director Jayanth (he had a change of name for this film as Manjunath, his original name did not bring the success in his first directorial film) has not done anything worthwhile to make it a worthy entertainer.
The film's story does not have an iota of freshness. It has the elements of taming of the shrew, which has been seen in many films earlier. Actor Mohan who has written the story, the major elements of which were found in Karthick-Nagma starrer Tamil film Pistha and S.Narayan directed Kannada film Nannavalu Nannavalu which were run away hits. And the dialogues of the film does not promise too much of merit.
The film's Surya (Aniruddh) is a smart aleck who can get any problem solved. His brilliance and a helpful nature impresses businessman Srinivas who is on the look out for a person to mend his daughter's maverick behavior. Surya takes a trip to the estate of Srinivas and pulls up all his ideas to get Jennifer closer to her father Srinivas.
Jennifer hates Srinivas and all other male species, because she thinks all the males are cheats. Finally Surya unites the estranged father and daughter. The second half of the film revolves around the film's hero Anirudhdh and his attempts to tame Vidhisha. And Anant Nag scores major points in the second half. The film takes up-tempo only in the second half. The film could have been a good entertainer with little polishing work of the first half and some freshness in the second half.
Anirudhdh steals the show in the film and this talented actor needs good breaks. It is better if he has the knack of choosing right subjects. Vidisha looks glamorous in the song sequences but lacks the screen presence to do such a role. Anant Nag shines in the second half.
It is Rajesh Ramanath's one-hundredth film as a music director. But the music director has not done anything extra ordinary to match such an extra ordinary statistical achievement. But songs have been shot well.
